Challenge
J Browne Developer Services Ltd was formed in 2014 as a division within the J Browne Construction Group. Their goal was to establish an offering to address the complex infrastructure challenges faced by the construction and property development sector.
After achieving great success in the first few years, it was time to gain clarity and speak directly to their customers by distinguishing themselves from the main J Browne Group. By reducing their association with only utility works, which is what J Browne Construction is famous for, J Browne Developer Services would have the flexibility to adapt and grow in-line with the needs of an evolving industry.
Solution
Strategic workshops lead us to understand that the majority of J Browne Developer Services customers, called them JBDS. We listened and so JBDS was born. They were also the first UK infrastructure enabling contractor with a truly consultative approach.
So we went on to uncover and craft a positioning that the whole business could rally behind… ‘Solving the complex’. Solving the complex does two things; positions JBDS as the experts without them ever having to say it and unites the entire team, inspiring them to keep doing what they do best. Solving complex infrastructure challenges and delivering reliable solutions.
RESULTS
JBDS and their key stakeholders now truly understand how to communicate their brand and personality, aligning their messaging with their target audiences (Main contractors, professional services and property developers). We designed a truly reflective identity that was bold enough to support their ambitious brand promises whilst keeping affiliation with the parent company for credibility.
To kick-off brand awareness and make sure that existing customers were kept in the loop, we launched them back into the industry with a strategically targeted email marketing and social media campaign. And even refined their sales process, arming them with targeted pitch presentations, detailed case-studies and event give-aways all geared to harmoniously drive new business.
